ok so lately AOD has been acting really slow for me... it takes me like 5 minutes for each thing i do on here.... i was wondering if it was just me or is anyone else having this problem?

yea, its wickd slo for me 2, and just a remindr cin all the double postn, if u push submit more than once cuz its slo, it posts it that many times, ive had like 5 of the same thing or sumthn once, lol

yup, lol. usually i just open another window and go do something else while i'm waiting for my post to load.

yeah it is like super slow....i kept thinking i was on dial up slow

yea it was really slow for me all week so i reset my internet rouder and now its much better for me. But its still alittle slow when you want to post other than that its working ok for me.

it takes a while 2 load when i click on a topic or post sumthing

It happened to me but I restarted my computer and it didn't happen again...I'll def. look into for you guys.

its been going on for a week for me. and i have restarted loads since then. occasionally it isnt extremely slow though

Same here.. it's been working very slowly for me aswell... mainly when I try to log in, it takes forever!

Mines been ok.... It was slow a few days ago but I'm good now..

yea it used to be super slow but i thought its cuz of my piece of junk comp. it seems to b ok now.
edit: well maybe not ok but its faster than like 3 days ago...

after i submit a post it takes like a minute to post, but other than that is fine.

i have discovered a few reasons why aod is going slow...well more like maybe reasons...........and it is stuff everyone can help out on to help remedy.

first thing............everybody check their emails.....make sure the email is a valid one and one that it isnt out of date

2............if you are "watching" topics....cancel your watching status on them. this means....that you have applied for emails to be sent to you each time anyone replys to a particular topic. if there are too many people waiting for emails then it slows down the forum when someone is posting a topic.

3. a lot of people here use either gif sigs or avs...i would recommend that people use only one animated graphic....either the av or the sig and not both. if a forum is dependant on photobucket or imageshack to load a page then the forum slows down.

4 check the bandwith on your photobucket account...if it is high it might be causing it to slow down....resulting in the forum slowing down.


these are some things i have found that we can do. there are a few more things that admin can do.....some julie can do....some the big boss will have to take care of. but hopefully we can sort things out and help the major slowness going on!

^^I really don't think it has anything to do w/ that, cuz it all started happening to us at the same time

it's been a bit quicker for me over the past couple days

its grand at times but at other times it is painfully slow..........and i read through the phpbb support forum and these are the solutions that people have found....mostly because the slowness was intermittent and not constantly. if it was constant it would most likely to be a server issue

ok AOd was working fine for me the past two days and now its slowing down again

yeah it is really on and off.

i spent ages reading what helped other forums solve slowness issues. and the ones with intermittent problems..........those lil tips helped it a bit. others were issues that admin had to sort out.

its been gettn a lot bettr for me, it sumtimes gets wickd slo, but usually its regular speed now

that happens to me too! it goes either really fast or snail paced!

lol, and idk if itll help, but i usually minimize the screen while im waitn for it to load, i kinda makes it go fastr, it seems it, lol

ok its going really slow for me right now, it won't load and i have to keep logging in. i think its because there's a storm coming over here and my internet is through satillite.

Alright, mine was fine up until a few days ago.
Whenever I post it takes awhile for it to go through.
AND the other day I clicked on a thread (a normal one too, not spam) and it shut my computer down.. wtf was that all about, I have no idea!

Hopefully AOD speeds up again soon though! : )

mine is actually goin rly fast today, i think it may b how many things u hav goin, i hav just my aim and this, usually i hav my aim page and youtube also, but now its goin like it used to, im pretty happy bout that, lol, today has been an all around good day, lol

ok AOd is going really slow for me lately and i keep getting kicked off. My internet has been really bad today but AOD has been so bad. If i log on it interupts my aim and AOL but I want to be on here but i keep gettting kicked off and having to log back in after i read a topic. arghhhhh
